What is your vision for Knoxville 10 years from now?

I hope that Knoxville remains a vibrant community where businesses can thrive and where families can live well. Knoxville’s greatest asset is its people who are passionate about the region and who are committed to seeing continual improvement. Knoxville needs to be a community that continues to be inclusive so that everyone benefits from the prosperity of our region.

What is Knoxville’s Best Kept Secret?

The natural beauty of our region. We are blessed to have mountains, lakes, rivers, and greenspaces. We have a national park, numerous state parks, and other public lands to enjoy.

What would you do to strengthen Knoxville?

Our area high schools and colleges/universities are developing talented individuals. Many of these students move away from the region after graduation. Our community should work together to promote our area in ways that help to keep as many of these talented individuals as possible.

What is your favorite Knoxville memory?

I have lots of great memories. Currently at the top of my list is celebrating in Neyland Stadium after Tennessee beat Alabama in 2022. Go Vols!

What is your favorite book or what book is currently on your nightstand?

Currently, Seven Pillars of Servant Leadership

What is the best advice you have received from a mentor, and who was that mentor?

Be passionate about serving others and helping others find success – Mr. Will Pugh.

What advice would you give to your 16 year old self?

I would encourage my 16 year old self to get more involved in my community.
