What is your vision for Knoxville 10 years from now?

In my vision, Knoxville thrives as an inclusive city with collaborative churches and ministries. We would be hosting regionally recognized events beyond the University of Tennessee. We would also have an empowered, self-sustaining urban community.

The Knoxville Botanical Gardens, and a diverse local music scene.

What would you do to strengthen Knoxville?

We should prioritize higher pay and tax incentives for healthcare workers, teachers, and first responders. Additionally, implementing term limits for all political positions will promote fresh perspectives and ensure continuous progress for our community.

What is your favorite Knoxville memory?

Watching a late Fall sunrise from Sharp’s ridge.

What is your favorite book or what book is currently on your nightstand?

I am currently reading “Chop Wood, Carry Water” by Joshua Medcalf

What is the best advice you have received from a mentor, and who was that mentor?

Colonel Karlton “Blade” Johnson, told me to trust the parachute and just jump.

What advice would you give to your 16 year old self?

Take that job with Magic Johnson. Fail fast, fail often, take risks early.
