For Knoxville to be a more diverse and safer community where demographics and social values are welcomed in all types of businesses and cultural institutions. Also to embrace growth but maintain the charm of our city.

What would you do to strengthen Knoxville?

Have incentives for new businesses yet continue to develop public spaces (parks, marketplaces, outdoor venues, etc.) to invite neighborhood activities and insure the beauty of our city.

What is your favorite Knoxville memory?

Having the privilege to be a part of the development of the Lady Vol basketball program from being a player to coaching!

What is your favorite book or what book is currently on your nightstand?

Best book I have read is “The Nightingale” and currently reading “Lessons in Chemistry”

What is the best advice you have received from a mentor, and who was that mentor?

“Treat others as you want to be treated” from Pat Summitt. Your job, your social status, the amount of money you earn does not make you more important than others.

What advice would you give to your 16 year old self?

Get rid of “I can’t wait until I…” Enjoy the journey more and definitely study a lot harder.
